Dallas and Donna Keen attend sales several times a year all around the country and are available for pre-sale evaluations upon request. Evaluations are hands on and horses are thoroughly checked for lameness and conformation issues that may keep a horse from being competitive. After the Keen's evaluation a veterinary exam may be performed after client consultation.
We welcome all owners to visit with us presale and will be happy to answer any questions you have concerning conformation or pedigree. If you are unable to attend the sale we will contact you to discuss your personal evaluation and help your make your purchase by phone.
There will be no evaluation fee for any horse purchased that is placed with Dallas Keen for training, mare care, or breaking. A $250 evaluation fee or 5%, which ever is greater, will be charged for horses not entering the care of Dallas Keen at the time of purchase. The fee is also waived if the young horse is turned out at Keen Farms for lay-up time after the sale and is to be placed in training with Dallas Keen at a later date.
Purchased in November from the Keeneland sale, Future Covenant nearly paid for himself 18 days later by winning his first level allowance at the Fair Grounds Race Course. 17 days later he did so by running second in another allowance race. His earnings since coming to the Keen Stable are over $31,000 in the first 5 weeks.
