What to expect when sending a horse to our stable
As an owner of a horse in the Dallas Keen stable you are welcome to visit the barn area at anytime.  If you are not yet an owner please call first so a convenient time for your visit can be arranged.   We welcome anyone interested in becoming a horse owner to come for a visit to have your questions and concerns answered personally.
If you are unable to visit in person please log into the live track cams and use 'guest' as your user name and your password to see the stable online.
Dallas and Donna welcome phone calls to discuss any questions or you may email at
dallaskeen@hotmail.com

We take pride in our stable and offer the very best to each and every horse.  Every horse is treated as an individual and not just a stall number as in other stables.

Individual training regiments are prepared daily for each horse.

Horses are careful looked at daily for changes in eating habits and temperatures are taken twice a day to insure a healthy training regiment.

Every horse in the stable has their legs iced on a daily basis.  We provide ice from our personal ice machines.

Diets are carefully regulated for each horse.  Only top quality feed and hays are fed and we stay up to date on the latest nutritional breakthroughs.

Sets of horses are accompanied by a stable pony while going to and from the racetrack.

Our employees are thoroughly trained and practice good horsemanship.

Horses with special needs are usually met with one or more of our therapy options.  We work hard to keep vet bills down by staying on top of the lastest in equine therapy.

Communication with your trainer is a very important part of a good working relationship.  We appreciate owners that will call to check in on their horses and we will always take time to discuss what is important to you.  Your calls are welcome anytime and your participation will help us work better together.  Please call Dallas or Donna anytime you have a question or concern.
We also provide 24 hour access to your horses through our online stable webcams so you can look in on your horses anytime.

From the youngest owner to the guy with just a small percentage of one partnership horse, you are always welcome to the stable for a morning training visit.

One thing is for sure.  We will go the extra mile to do whatever we can for you and your horses.

Therapy Options Included In Your Day Rate
Unlike other stables that have to hire a Professional Equine Therapist when special therapy is needed we have chose to purchase our own therapy machines.  By doing this we can provide treatment as soon as it is needed as well as offer it as a free service to our clients.

THERMOTEX INFRARED HEATING BLANKET

The Thermotex Infrared Heating Blanket  is a very valuable tool in treating many issues associated with everyday training.  These blankets are extremely beneficial for horses that are prone to tying up or have been diagnoses with EIPH or otherwise know as bleeders.  Sore shoulders and backs are also greatly reduced when these blankets are used as a part of an everyday routine.

Equine Therapy
Centurion Hoof Pad

Centurion Hoof Pad
aids in the treatment and prevention of sore feet and abscesses.  It also provides an excellent means of magnetic therapy treatment to all areas of the hoof, coronary band, fetlock and lower regions of the cannon bone.

Centurion Laser Shower

The Laser Shower operates by emitting a continuous shower of laser light.  A wide range of problems from surface injuries to deep seated soft tissue injuries may be treated. This incredibly helpful tool decreases layoff time when used on injuries such as bone fractures, splints, and shin buck.  We also use it as a perventative measure against these common set backs on young horses.

Low Frequency Ultrasound Machine

In certain cases of body soreness, nervousness or soft tissue injuries we prefer to use our
Low Frequency Ultra Sound.  This product is also know for it's detoxification aspects and well as it ability to reduce pain and swelling.

Other Therapy Options
Other therapies that may be used on your horses are provided at a discounted cost.  We offer a state of the art Magna Wave therapy machine to work on body soreness and as a healing tool.  We have had much success with this new therapy device and have seen horses not only improve dramatically but cut down healing time on most injuries in 2/3 of the time.
By using this machine along with the Transpirator Breathing Machine, (shown below), we have managed to reduce most vet bills by half.

Centurion Transpirator

The Transpirator delivers pure water vapor, at a precisely controlled temperature, into the entire respiratory tract. It does not provide little water droplets, as a nebulizer does, which can only reach the upper respiratory areas, but air, saturated to 100% humidity, which penetrates into the deepest and smallest airways. Over 300 liters per minute of soothing water vapor is delivered for therapeutic benefits for your horse. A healthy, well hydrated respiratory tract is the first line of defense against respiratory agents.

Centurion Transpirator
Centurion Transpirator

RespiraSilver is used with the Transpirator.  This product is a safe, non-toxic, natural solution which contains silver ions that attach themselves to an enzyme receptor site on the outer shell of pathogenic microorganisms and kills them within 4 - 6 minutes by preventing the uptake of oxygen. Unlike pharmaceutical antibiotics, RespiraSilver does not effect beneficial enzymes and tissue-cell enzymes are left intact.

About us...
Dallas Keen is a 4th generation horse trainer.  He started galloping racehorses at the age of 7 at his fathers training farm in Ft Collins, Colorado and never thought of doing anything else.  Dallas won his first para-mutual race in 1987 and has had a very successful career doing what he loves.  Dallas has dedicated his entire life to thoroughbred horses.
Donna Keen has been involved in many different horse training disciplines and was also a thoroughbred racehorse trainer until she and Dallas were married in 2007.  Now they run the Dallas Keen Racing Stable as well as a breeding and training farm in Burleson, Texas where they breed, foal out mares, and break yearlings each year.
Dallas and Donna Keen founded
Remember Me Racehorse Rescue, a racehorse retirement and adoption program.  Remember Me is a 501(c)3 non profit foundation and gives retired and injured racehorses a place to go to rehabilitate and retrain for a new career.
